EPIC Universe Foodie Tour: Best Restaurants, Snacks, & Drinks

EPIC Universe is Universal Orlando’s newest park, and after years of anticipation, the hype is absolutely real. From early renderings and training teasers to jaw-dropping sneak peeks, the buildup had fans buzzing - and I was lucky enough to experience it not just once, but twice!

Before the grand opening in May, Universal hosted exclusive previews for travel agencies. Thanks to our U-Preferred status, I got to step inside this incredible park in early May — weeks before the public — and it completely exceeded my expectations. Then, in June, I returned with fellow travel advisors for another visit, and it was just as magical (and delicious!) the second time around.

Over those two trips, I made it my mission to taste my way through EPIC Universe — from Instagram-worthy bites to hidden gems you might walk right past, plus snacks so unique you’ll want to try them just for the experience. What stood out most to me? Every land has its own immersive dining vibe, and the food matches the theme perfectly. As for prices, they’re on par with Universal’s other three parks and CityWalk — but the flavor and presentation often take it to another level.

Land-by-Land Dining Breakdown

Celestial Park

Celestial Park at EPIC Universe is the largest and most open concept of all the lands and portals in EPIC Universe. It is the central point of the park and splits the other portals. If you are not in one of the other lands, you are essentially in Celestial Park. So with that, there are always food options nearby! I experienced the Atlantic during both of my visits. I had the cocktail title Northern Lights. It was delicious and refreshing. Plus, I will not forget the experience of the bartender creating it in front of me! It included Beluga Noble Vodka, Pallini limoncello, Ferrand Dry Curacao, lemon juice, simple syrup, butterfly pea blossom ice sphere and gold luster dust!

My favorite food item on the menu was The Atlantic Burger “Au Poivre”. It was a half pound burger with asiago peppercorn cheese, peppercorn sauce, watercress, shaved red onion and served on a house made sesame bun alongside thick cut fries. Yummy!

While the Atlantic was delicious... my favorite restaurant in all of the Universal theme parks is now Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant!

We snagged the last reservation of the night and had the best dining experience. Our meal was unforgettable. For our appetizer we had the snowflake potstickers. Lacy crust pork potstickers served with dragon sauce.

As my entree, I chose a spicy option. I love spicy food! I went with the Dan Dan Noodles which were spicy numbing Sichuan noodles, Sichuan style pork and peanuts.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic

Now we'll head over to the Ministry of Magic. I made a stop at the Bieraubeurre Cart and snagged a frozen butterbeer. Perfect for hot summer weather! For those who do not know what Butterbeer is, it is a mixture of flavors of cream soda, butterscotch syrup, a hint of vanilla and blended with ice to create a refreshing, frozen treat. A creamy, butterscotch-flavored topping is often added on top!

Then I headed over to Cafe L’air De La Sirene. I found an empty table and placed my mobile order. Once it was ready, a server delivered it to me! I ordered the Bieraubeurre crepe which consists of shortbread cookie butter Bavarian cream, Bieraubeurre cream, strawberries, Bieraubeurre drizzle and a shortbread cookie garnish. A must try during your EPIC Universe visit!

How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk

How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk is the most immersive land in all of EPIC Universe and the food is unmatched! I had to be sure to try the mac and cheese cones! Spit Fyre Grill & Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel both have the mac n cheese cones. I went with the classic mac n cheese cone which consisted of creamy mac & cheese with fish shaped crackers and served in a crunchy cone. They also have a PB&J(Pork, Bacon & Jam) and a Dragon fire Chicken Spire which is your spicy choice!

During my other visit, I wanted a break from the summer heat. I was hungry but not starving if you know what I mean. I headed over to Mead Hall for some glorious a/c. I opted for a kids meal aka for Little Dragon Riders and it was a great choice! I did mobile ordering the same way I did at the Wizarding World and it was very easy to do! I selected the Barf & Belch’s Duo plate. It consisted of mac n cheese bites, grilled sausage, carrots, Nordic fries and grapes on the vine. I ordered a Toothless Plasma Blast to drink and it was delicious! It is blue Powerade mixed with stone fruit syrup.

Dark Universe (Classic Monsters)

I did not get a chance to try the food in Dark Universe but my friends swear by a couple of items. Both items just happen to be at The Burning Blade Tavern. The first is Hunters Garlic Stake. Described as a crispy garlic butter pretzel with garlic dipping sauce, yum! Next is The Burning Cheddar Bites. They are described as crispy fried jalapeno pimento cheddar bites with sriracha ranch! I will be sure to try when I go back! Another fan favorite is Das Steakhouse where they have items such as a “blood” orange chicken sandwich and a carved staked steak!

Super Nintendo World 

Super Nintendo World is a video game lover's dream! You truly feel transported into the middle of a video game. You can visit with Mario & friends and have a great time. Toadstool cafe & Bubbly Barrel Cafe. Over at the Bubbly Barrel Cafe, I had The DK Crush Float with a mug of Tropical Banana Flavor! It basically was a banana pineapple soft serve float with toppings.

Over at the Toadstool Cafe, I shared a salad and a meal with a friend. We shared the Piranha Plant Caprese which consisted of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, asparagus and basil pesto served with mixed greens, shaved radish, and vinaigrette. We also had the Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs which was spaghetti with a spicy mushroom marinara sauce, meatballs, fire flower parmesan crisp, shaved parmesan and chopped parsley!

Tips for Eating at Epic Universe

Want to skip those long food lines? Use the Universal app to mobile order — it’s a total game changer. 

For sit-down dining at EPIC Universe, you can book reservations the same day or just a few days in advance. No need to stress about planning months ahead — and honestly, that’s such a refreshing change compared to other theme parks. If you definitely want to try the Atlantic or Blue Dragon, we do recommend booking it 30 days in advance.

Visiting on a budget? You’ve got options! Portions here are generous, so splitting dishes with friends or family is an easy way to save while still getting to taste more of what the park offers.

EPIC Universe’s food scene is nothing short of spectacular. Universal has truly outdone themselves with the variety, creativity, and theming in each land.
