WARNING: This Blog is now a Serenity Bay Grand Cabana Fan Club Blog. Ok, not really, but if you’re looking for deets on Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point specifically, you’re in the wrong place because I literally spent my time at our cabana, in the ocean directly in front of our cabana, or getting lunch and ice cream at the buffet directly beside our cabana. I DIDN’T GO FARTHER THAN 100 FEET FROM THE CABANA AREA. Now that we have that cleared up.

Last February, our agency sailed on the Disney Fantasy to Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. We had a fantastic time, but the best day was our Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point day and honestly what took it up a notch was that we had a Grand Cabana in the Serenity Bay (adults-only) section of the island. Now, I’m not saying you can’t have a great time without a cabana, because you totally can, but this just elevated the experience so much.
Ok, so how did we score a Grand Cabana? If you’ve been around Disney Cruise line for awhile, you know that getting an available cabana is a rare event! Usually because they are grabbed up quickly by Concierge Level guests who get first dibs. I was definitely not a concierge guest, and we found this really just by luck. I was stalking the app and all of a sudden one was there and I grabbed it immediately, asked my team who wanted to split it and got an immediate YES! Also, that’s a great way to bring the cost down for sure.
The Grand Cabanas are the largest on the islands. They originally fit up to 10 guests and then you can add additional guests for a small fee ($56 per guest as of 01/2026).
When we arrived at Lookout Cay, we made the (long) walk down to the bus station, where they took us to the hub of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. From there we checked in to guest services, loaded a golf cart and were taken directly to our cabana. At the cabana we met our attendant who did a quick walkthrough of the amenities and then we were free to enjoy it!

The Grand Cabana was large enough for a kitchenette area, full dining room table, indoor living space, large outdoor shaded space, and then in front of the cabana we had lounge chairs and an outdoor shower. It was absolutely delightful. The regular cabanas have similar features, but no large dining room table and a much smaller cabana (they fit four guests).
All cabanas come with the same amenities:
Beverage fridge with bottled water and canned drinks
Selection of fruit, chips, and granola bars
Sunscreen - this was a nice surprise
Towels
Access to snorkel gear and sand toys
1 hour bike rental for each guest in the cabana
A smart device where we could change the music, call our cabana attendant, and order drinks from the bar to be delivered to us!
